Everything we make — deck, email, page, paper, pixel — lives as two columns. A left column of what people say they want (a lie, usually a flattering one). A right column of what they actually do (the truth, usually inconvenient). Subconscious is the company that builds the right column at scale.

The doctrine.

§1Every surface we ship is built of pairs. Left column stated. Right column revealed. If you can't draw the pair, you don't have the idea yet.
§2The left column is always italic, grey, and struck-through in red. Non-negotiable. Red is never decorative — it marks a lie.
§3The right column is always upright, black, and weighted. One word gets a highlight — never the whole sentence.
§4Between the two columns sits a causal arrow. Not a flourish. The arrow is the product. We don't sell data; we sell the arrow.
§5Every number gets a source, a method, and a status. Always in three lines of Sohne Mono, 9px, all-caps. The footnote is the proof.
§6On every page one thing is violently large and one thing is uncomfortably small. Kill the middle weight.
§7If it could have been made by a competitor, delete it. If it could have been made by a marketing AI, burn it.
